Priorities

I am committed to refocusing City Council on delivering core services efficiently, enforcing strict budget controls, and addressing critical infrastructure needs. With my background in policy development and extensive experience with various levels of government, I am dedicated to bringing practical, informed solutions to City Council for the benefit of Ward 4.

My priorities:

Improving Public Services: City Hall’s priorities are out of touch. While the basics—snow clearing, public transit, road maintenance, parks, and greenspaces—are being overlooked, our tax dollars are being wasted elsewhere. I will refocus City Council on delivering these essential services efficiently and effectively, ensuring that our neighbourhoods get the attention they deserve.

Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management: The $80 million cost overrun on the aquatic center is a glaring example of financial mismanagement. This kind of recklessness can’t continue. I’m committed to enforcing strict budget controls, cutting unnecessary expenditures, and safeguarding your hard-earned money from wasteful projects.

Addressing Aging Infrastructure: I am committed to developing a comprehensive infrastructure plan that addresses these issues head-on, ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our city's essential services. Our water and sewer lines, roads, and underpasses are aging and increasingly prone to failure. Recent events, such as the rupture of Calgary’s largest water main, highlight the significant risks and unforeseen expenses associated with failing infrastructure.  Let's invest in the future of Regina by prioritizing the repair and modernization of our infrastructure.
